Daoyuan Lai

Daoyuan Lai is a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, jointly appointed in the Departments of Nephrology and Biostatistics under the mentorship of Professors Krzysztof Kiryluk and Iuliana Ionita-Laza. He is also a Warren Alpert Computational Biology and AI Network Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Los Angeles. He earned his Ph.D. in Statistics from the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science at The University of Hong Kong, where he was advised by Professors Yan Dora Zhang and Pak-Chung Sham. His research interests span statistical genetics, high-dimensional statistics, bioinformatics, and epidemiology. He is actively seeking professional opportunities in both academia and industry.
